The Bow and the Brush

Dan Flanagan, solo violin

An entire recital of solo violin pieces inspired by paintings and sculptures.  Every piece on the program will be a world premiere, commissioned or composed by Dan Flanagan, with images of the art projected during the performance.
Composers include Nathaniel Stookey, Jim Stephenson, Trevor Weston, Amadeus Regucera,  Evan Price, Shinji Eshima, Jose Gonzalez Granero, Maya Hynninen, Peter Josheff, Linda Marcel, David Mecionis, Catherine Neville, Jacques Desjardins, Michael Panther, Edmund Campion, and Emily Onderdonk.  

Artists include Paul Gibson, Albert-Marie Lebourg, Armand Guillaumin, Nikki Vismara, Robert Antoine Pinchon, Jean-Louis Forain, Rachel Dwan, Carrington Arredondo, Henri Faintin-Latour, Elaine Pratt, Nina Fabunmi, Sean O'Donnell, Peter Canty, Joaquin Turner, Ludovic Rodo Pissarro, and Phillip Dvorak.
